The Preceptor will work with the undergraduate nursing students in the Clinical Practice Lab. Duties of this position include but are not limited to: directing student skill development, assessing student’s execution of skills, supervising student skills practice, utilizing current research and relevant resources to assure reflection of current standards of practice in student skills development, maintaining complex medical equipment used in various healthcare settings and serving as a resource to undergraduate faculty regarding appropriate clinical skill procedures, current products, equipment and available resources.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three (3) years experience directly relating to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing.
One year recent acute care experience.
Experienced in using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as the internet.
Experience in community health.
Demonstrated ability to work collegially and collaboratively with diverse internal and external constituencies.
