Detailed Job Description

Collaborate with Dr. Thomas G.Power and his colleagues at the Baylor School of Medicine in Houston, the University of Colorado Medical School at Denver, Temple University, and Colorado State University on several grant funded projects (NIH, USDA) on the relationship between parenting practices, children’s emotion regulation, and childhood obesity in low-income populations. The research includes both basic science and prevention studies. Funding is available for up to two years.

Required Qualifications

Ph.D. in Human Development, Developmental Psychology, or a related field in the last five years; strong research training in children’s socio-emotional development; and strong quantitative skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Fluency in Spanish is highly desired, but not required.
