Detailed Job Description

An Associated Professional position is available focusing on the utilization of next generation sequencing technologies for genotyping and the identification of regulatory elements. The candidate will be expected to design, develop and implement computational pipelines for analyzing genotype and sequence data. The successful candidate will become a member of large teams in reproductive biology and genomics focusing on improving livestock health, production and reproduction.

Required Qualifications

Candidates should have a Master’s degree in computational biology, bioinformatics, computer science, statistical genetics or related field plus three years of related experience. A Ph.D. will substitute for some or all of the required experience. The successful applicant should have programming experience and a knowledge of relational databases.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience building/administering server hardware is also beneficial
