The Coordinator position will be responsible to publicize and facilitate operations of the Clean Plant Center, part of the National Clean Plant Network. The WSU center produces and distributes virus-tested fruit trees, grapevines and hop plants.
The Coordinator plans and develops literature, a website and other public information materials for, and addresses technical inquiries from, stakeholders, government agencies, industry groups, funding agencies, growers and the general public, regarding center activities. The project coordinator collates data and assists in preparing progress reports required by industry groups and funding agencies.
This position will also be responsible for all aspects of meeting logistics, summaries, data gathering and reporting and manages center budgets.
A Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to area of specialization and three (3) years of experience directly related to the specialty area. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Experience in budget preparation, management and reporting.
Experience in business or office management.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Experience in meeting organization.
Demonstrated experience in web page design and maintenance.
Experience in agriculture related disciplines.
