Detailed Job Description

To provide training for individuals who are interested in the neurobiology of alcohol dependence. Animal models of reinforcement and affective behavior will be combined with varied neuroscience approaches to address hypothesis driven questions related to neuroadaptations that occur during the transition to dependence. Duties include, but are not limited to, conducting animal behavioral experiments, performing intracranial surgical procedures, performing immunohistochemical and molecular biological experiments, performing statistical tests and dissemination results through conference presentations and publishing scientific journal articles.

Required Qualifications

The candidate must have a Ph.D. in a biological psychology- or neuroscience-related discipline and be capable of independently conducting experiments, analyzing data, writing manuscripts and disseminating research findings.
