Detailed Job Description

Responsible for the safety and security of students, faculty, and staff as well as school owned or used properties. Supervises shifts of assigned security staff and perform all duties as required.  

Qualifications

A minimum of a high school diploma and 3-5 years of security, or related, experience is required.

Formal security training is desired.

An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Prior supervisory experience is preferred.

Successful completion of the RI College & University Public Safety Training Academy or equivalent is required.

Must be a licensed EMT in the state of RI or must obtain a license for EMT within two years of the date of hire.

Must maintain up-to-date EMT, CPR and Emergency First Aid certification.

Proven ability to interact with members of the community representing diverse backgrounds and interests.

A valid driver's license is required.
