Under the direction of the Technology Management Department Chair, this position coordinates and advises grant stakeholders on all activities related to Utah Cluster Acceleration Partnership (UCAP) – Manufacturing Initiative compliance procedures. Coordinates training sessions and meetings for the grant program/project coordinators and interested stakeholders. Coordinates all aspects of UCAP compliance reporting and monitoring reviews. Coordinates all aspects of University compliance reporting as it applies to the UCAP state grant. Manages the budget/records of UCAP grant using appropriate transparency. Coordinates with department, college and university leaders to ensure program/project compliance and internal controls and transparency.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree or any combination of education and/or experience totaling four years.
Familiar with UVU grant practices, procedures and policies.
Knowledge of internal control procedures and accountability practices related to academic grants and university policy.
Knowledge of Department of Workforce Services compliance reporting and compliance guidelines.
Knowledge of office equipment, computer programs and current financial reports.
Skills in office methods, techniques, financial practices & procedures.
Skills in the use of computers and computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, and databases.
Interpersonal and problem-solving skills, decision-making, and public relations skills.
Skills in effective communication, public speaking, and rapport-building, organization and maintenance of effective records management and information systems.
Ability to perform a variety of administrative support duties with minimum supervision.
Ability to follow oral and written procedures & instructions.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive information.
Ability to apply effective general principles to specific conditions and policies.
Ability to follow written/oral procedures and instructions and communicate effectively courteously with the public.
