Detailed Job Description

Under general supervision from the math lab, provides on site tutoring and instruction to Wasatch students in all levels of math from pre-algebra Math 950 to Business Calculus Math 1100.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required

Preferred Qualifications

Must have a B+ or better in Math courses. All A’s in Math preferred.

Knowledge

Knowledge of substantive mathematics from basics to calculus.

Knowledge of UVU testing policies and procedures.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Skills

Must be skilled in operating computers and related testing equipment.

Must be skilled in troubleshooting problems and resolve them.

Skills in use and operator maintenance for photo copiers.

Must demonstrate skills with patience with students who struggle.

Abilities

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Ability to listen effectively.

Pay Range

$9.00 to $11.25 per hour
