Temporary appointment not to extend past 01/15/2016

Recording receipting charitable contributions to the University, in accordance with donor intent, Miami University policies and adhering to the IRS rules and regulations governing contributions. Also responsible for biographical information on alumni, friends, parents and organization records in the SCT Banner database.

Duties

  • Records gifts and pledges to the proper accounts
  • Daily reconciliation of checks, cash, charges and completes daily deposits
  • Assigns codes to constituent records for mail, activities and other lists reflecting interests, memberships, and participation in events
  • Performs data entry projects
  • Creates and maintenance of constituent records in SCT Banner to include completion of daily demographic update requests and weekly audit reports; tracking of in-memoriam funds
  • Enters Alumni Weekend registrations
  • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned

Knowledge of computer systems, databases and Microsoft Office suite of products; excellent computer skills; accurate keyboarding skills; strong organizational skills.

Knowledge of unit’s operations, policies, and procedures; may require supervisory skills; clerical skills; research skills.

Periodic assignments given which entail dealing with modestly unpleasant physical conditions.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires nine months of coursework or training beyond high school in Business Administration and two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong proofreading, spelling and editing skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple project exhibiting flexibility. Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality. Experience with SCT Banner. Accounting experience or strong mathematical skills.
