Detailed Job Description

Utilizes pedagogically sound principles to assist faculty with the integration of technology into instruction to enhance teaching and learning. This position works in collaboration with other academic support professionals to provide instructional technology evaluation, faculty support, and documentation to enhance teaching and learning. This position provides consultations with faculty and others in academic areas.

Additional Department Summary:

The Instructional Technology Support Specialist assists with support of the instructional use of technology. The Instructional Technology Support Specialist plays a pivotal role in consulting with faculty to support the use of technologies for instruction. Provides faculty with professional development and support for a variety of instructional tools and resources. Assists with the creation of faculty development resources and helps with the delivery of faculty development activities. Provides back-up support for tools such as the student response system (clickers), lecture capture, Web 2.0 and social media tools. Is a member of the team providing support for the learning management system.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Associate's degree and three (3) years of related experience; OR Bachelor's degree and one (1) year of related experience, OR Master's degree; OR any equivalent combination of experience, training, education and/or certification from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been obtained. Student or Graduate Assistant, Intern, or student oriented experience will be considered.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher and one (1) year related experience, OR Master's degree. Student or Graduate Assistant, Intern, or student oriented experience will be considered.To be considered student experience, it must be detailed in the employment section on the application.

Skills and Knowledge:

Must be able to work well in a team environment, communicate well, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Education, Communications or a liberal arts major.Experience assisting faculty in higher education with instructional technology or higher education instruction utilizing current instructional technologies. Experience assisting with the production of instructional technology tutorials in a variety of formats. Coursework or experience demonstrating some understanding of copyright and fair use issues, and technology accessibility issues related to providing instructional content.57 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 32614.44 Midpoint - $ 47299.20
