Responsible for the day-to-day operational performance of student lab assistant within the ceramics, sculpture, and 3D design classrooms and labs.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree in an area of expertise commensurate with the duties and responsibilities of the position OR a related combination of education and experience totaling four years.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a Bachelors degree in ceramics, sculpture, 3D design or a related field OR any combination of education and experience totaling 4 years.
Knowledge of pottery wheels, pug mill,and glazing and clay materials.
Knowledge of chemistry and equipment safety and maintenance.
Well-developed interpersonal communication, problem solving,decision-making and prioritization skills.
Skills in performance and productivity improvement of the labs.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work with individuals from multiple skill levels and diverse backgrounds.
Ability to manage several diverse projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to be self-directed and to complete tasks without supervision.
Ability to stay current in regards to ceramic, sculpture, and 3D design equipment and techniques.
