The Lighting and Sound Design Lecturer will educate in a variety of learning environments and activities that provide opportunities for students to develop to their fullest potential and achieve their learning objectives in the Theatre Arts programs at the undergraduate level.
Graduation from a regionally accredited institution with an appropriate degree in a related field to the coursework being taught. Knowledge and skill in current instructional theories, strategies, techniques, and discipline content. See preferred qualifications for discipline or program-specific minimum qualifications.
Graduation from an accredited university with a MFA OR a Bachelors degree and 2 years related experience or a Combination of education and professional experience in relative area (lighting design, projection design, design software, lighting and sound equipment, and classroom instruction) totaling 6 years.
Knowledge of lighting design, projection design, design software usage, lighting and sound equipment usage.
Skills related to design lighting for UVU Theatre Department productions.
Ability to design and build lighting and sound for production and theater.
Ability to maintain Pedagogy and classroom management.
