Detailed Job Description

The Athletic Support Assistant will work with the Athletic Department staff and student athletes. The incumbent will assist in the everyday duties as specified by the sport or department they are assigned to.

Additional Department Summary:

Working closely with the Assistant Director, Athletic Student Services, the Coordinator of LifeSkills & Community Outreach, and the Coordinator of Career & Leadership Development, this position will assist with recruiting student-athletes for community outreach projects; assist with personal development and career development workshops; and aid in the recruitment of new athletes by providing information about the personal and professional development resources accessible as part of their student-athlete experience.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in any field, OR individuals currently enrolled in college completing their undergraduate studies.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report as determined by the insurance carrier.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, behavioral science, athletic administration, or related field. Basic knowledge of NCAA Division I policies and procedures. Experience working with a diverse student population and understanding of multicultural issues. Experience in collegiate athletic environment. Creative thinking and problem solving skills. Based on Qualifications
